About

My background is diverse: Chances are I can relate to your work and your clients.

Tell Stories

I love telling stories. Whether it’s small business owners talking about the challenges of entrepreneurship for a content marketing program, or interviewing Palestinians (in Arabic) as part of my graduate school work, I thrive on sharing the experiences of others. After all, shared experiences are what connect us.

It’s no surprise, given my love of storytelling, that I started my career in news. But after years working as a journalist, I began to crave new challenges. I asked myself: What career would let me continue to tell stories and share information… with a little bit of normalcy? Enter: Content marketing.

I’ve found many brands, particularly in fields like finance, feel like they’re speaking Arabic when they try to explain their work to clients or other audiences. Being able to distill these messages into English by listening and asking probing questions is one of my favorite undertakings. It lets me combine my journalistic skills with my love of business and strategy.

The core of what I do, from writing assignments and video production to strategic marketing, involves learning about people and helping them find their voice. But that’s just one part of my life…

Save the World

In 2018, I started a non-profit (now an official 501(c)(3) charity) called Que Linda. The business functions like an Etsy, in that it’s a platform for small artists and businesses to sell their goods. The special part, though, is that we donate 50 percent OR MORE of every single sale to charities. I’m passionate about this project and it’s one of the reasons I’ve switched my corporate career to a freelance structure; I want to be able to grow this venture so it can have an impact.
